Back to School Breakfast Favorites

We joined chef Mark Estee along with Briella and Jozelle in the kitchen to learn how to make their breakfast favorites. These recipes are quick, easy and nutritious. Choose from a peanut butter smoothie, breakfast oats and cheesy eggs.

Ingredients

Breakfast Oats

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup organic oats
  • blackberries
  • cinnamon
  • sugar

Cheesy Eggs

  • 4 local eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup cheese
  • salt
  • pepper

Peanut Butter Smoothie

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup chocolate milk
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (or almond butter)
  • ice

Instructions

Breakfast Oats

  • Bring the milk to a simmer
  • Add the oats and stir well for 6-7 minutes
  • Top with cinnamon, sugar and blackberries

Cheesy Eggs

  • Whisk the eggs and milk together in a bowl
  • Heat pan to medium heat and add butter, melt
  • Add the egg/milk mixture
  • Use a spatula to move the eggs around as they cook
  • Add the cheese, salt and pepper

Peanut Butter Smoothie

  • Add all items to a blender and puree until smooth

Notes

For the smoothie, you can substitute bananas for any fruit, like strawberries.
