This turmeric packed warm milk beverage is full of health benefits and is the perfect warm-up beverage for a cold winter day.
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1 Tbsp coconut oil
- Pinch of black pepper
- Maple syrup or sweetener to taste
- Ground cinnamon, for topping
In a small saucepan, combine milk, turmeric powder, ground ginger, coconut oil and pepper.
Heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture is warm but not boiling.
Add maple syrup or sweetener of choice to taste.
Poor into a mug.
Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Try ghee in place of the coconut oil.
